The Napa Valley Swim Team competed at the Vallejo Aquatic Club C/B/A+ Long Course Swim Meet July 9-11.
Jamie Jory represented NVST in the girls 8-under division.
In the boys 8-under division, Keoni Cisco achieved all best times with a new “A” time in the 50 freestyle, and also swam to a fourth-place finish in the 50 butterfly. Barrett McMichael achieved a new Pacific Reportable Time while winning the 50 fly, and also won the 100 free. Iona Pascual achieved all best times and a new “A” time in the 50 free. Will Flanders also had 100 percent best times.
The girls 9-10 division saw Erin Dunn take fourth in the 50 fly and Emily Dusky achieve a new “A” time in the 50 free.
In the boys 9-10 division, Robert Mitchell achieved six best times with his first Junior Olympic time in the 50 free, placing fifth, recorded new “A” times in the 100 fly (fifth place), 50 fly (fourth) and 50 breaststroke (sixth), and took fifth in the 100 free, sixth in the 50 backstroke and seventh in the 100 back.
William Fallini-Haas also had six best times, with new “A” times in the 50 breaststroke (eighth place) and 100 fly, and a fifth in the 50 back, sevenths in the 50 fly and 100 breaststroke, and a sixth in the 100 back. Nicholas Cisco achieved best times in the 50 breaststroke and 100 fly and was eighth in the 100 free.
The girls 11-12 division saw Megan Minor capture the 50 fly and 50 back and achieve new Western Zone cut times. Grace Murphy achieved three best times, with a new Junior Olympic time in winning the 100 breaststroke. Kathleen Schafle achieved four best times, with new “A” times in the 200 breaststroke and 100 breaststroke (eighth). Alissa Meyer achieved four best times and a new “A” time in the 200 breaststroke and a new “B” time in the 100 back, and took fifth in the 100 breaststroke. Isabella Corley turned in four best times, with a new “A” time in the 50 breaststroke, a fourth in the 200 breaststroke, and a sixth in the 100 breaststroke. Margaret Cline achieved all best times and a new “B” time in the 100 free. Megan Jory had three best times. Maddie Perna achieved three best times with a third in the 100 fly, a seventh in the 100 back, and an eighth in the 50 back.
Paul O’Neill had two best times in the boys 11-12 division.
In the girls 13-14 division, Emily Stephens achieved six best times and swam to a new “A” time in the 200 breaststroke (seventh) and also placed fourth in the 50 free, fifth in the 200 back, seventh in the 100 breaststroke, and eighth in both the 200 individual medley and 100 free. Rose Ballantine achieved two best times and swam to thirds in the 50 free and 200 IM, a fourth in the 200 breaststroke, fifths in the 400 IM, 100 free and 100 breaststroke, and a seventh in the 100 back. Joanna Haas won the 100 fly and the 200 fly. Rachel Jory turned in all best times with a new “A” time in the 50 free. Haley Murphy captured the 100 breaststroke and took third in the 100 free.
For the 13-14 boys, Omar Saldivar achieved all best times and won the 200 fly, and claimed thirds in the 100 back and 200 back.
In the boys 15-16 division, Cody Dusky achieved all best times while recording new “A” times in the 100 back and 200 IM, and taking third in the 200 back.
For the 17-18 boys, Curtis Tinloy swam to a new Junior Olympic Time in the 100 back, where he also finished second, and won the 100 breaststroke and took second in the 200 breaststroke. Robin Dore-Andrews finished third in the 200 free.
