Swimmers --- you gotta get to this meet!!! imagine this --- there were over 12,000 fans in attendance FOR PRELIMS!!!!!!!!

If you didn’t catch it on TV  last night - the first night of finals started off with a bang. We started with the mens  400 IM  where Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps battled it out both finishing under the old world record - the crowd was deafening and I had goose bumps and my hair was standing on end.

The Womens 400 IM was similar where Elizabeth Beisel pushed Katie Hoff to a new world record. The Mens 400 free had 4 different swimmers pushing each other in the first 1/2 of the race and 3 of them tightened the battle for the last 100 where it was really anyone’s race up to the finish. Larsen Jensen prevailed in a new american record!

If you get a chance to watch it or set your DVR - - - the meet will be on again every night this week. Tonight is on NBC (not sure about the San Diego air time).

Keep focussed - keep training . . .
