The Stingrays offer our state-of-the-art LAPS program for Elementary and Middle School children.  In LAPS, your child will receive vigorous and athletic practice while getting some of the finest stroke techniques and development in the Southeast. (Over 60 years of coaching on our Staff!) LAPS has, as its central mission, to make professional swimming instruction, structure, and athletics accessible to most kids. We do this in 3 important ways:

1. We break the school year into 6-7 week sessions. (There will be 6-7 sessions throughout the year.) You are not committed to any more than the one that you are in.

2. This session approach allows for the freedom to do multiple activities without over-burdening the calendar or the checkbook. Play other sports? Great! You can create a schedule that can run concurrently with your sport OR participate in the off-season. Not sure how much you want to swim? No problem. The 6-weeks-at-a-time format makes trying it out very low risk. If you want more (and you will!), sign up for the next session and add more days.

3. Finally, your cost is determined by the number of days you select. There is no flat monthly rate that you will be locked into. If you want to swim 2x per week, you will pay less than if you want to swim 3x per week. Your commitment is your decision. As you get older and more context is developed, your coaches will guide you to the appropriate levels of commitment.

If interested in joining our LAPS program at any location, please contact our LAPS Director Nicole Kunst [email protected]. Or you can call our main line at 770-325-7292 Ext 1

Pre & Post High School Program
The Stingrays offers a quality program for pre-high School season and post High School season. The RAYS are Georgia’s finest swim program. Twice the American Swimming Coaches Association has named us the National Stroke Champions.  This is an honor given to the program with the Best Stroke Technique in the USA.  If you are participating in a High School swim team this school year, then this program will help you get a head start. This program is for current Non-USA-Swimming athletes.

If interested in joining our Mountain View Aquatic facility, please contact Coach Pike Hightower [email protected]. If interested in joining our Cherokee County Aquatic Center facility, please contact Coach Tom Kerr [email protected]. Or you can call our main line at 770-325-7292

Master’s Program
Stingrays offer a Master’s Program (21 & older) at the Mountain View location.  If you are looking for more information about joining our master's Team, please contact

Competitive Team
Stingrays offer training and competition for all levels of swimmers seeking individual development and team unity within a nationally recognized competitive swim program. Anyone interested in becoming a Stingrays swimmer is asked to attend a swim evaluation at one of our facilities. Group evaluations for new swimmers are scheduled in the summer, while individual evaluations may be conducted at other times of the year.  During the evaluation, a Stingrays staff member will observe the swimmer performing all four strokes, assign an appropriate group placement within the Stingrays program, and discuss the registration process. If interested in joining our Mountain View Aquatic facility, please contact Coach Pike Hightower  [email protected]  or [email protected]. If interested in joining our Cherokee County Aquatic Center facility, please contact Coach Tom Kerr [email protected]. Or you can call our main line at 770-325-7292 ext 3

Since your child is swimming for the Stingrays, we ask that you be aware of the important and various financial commitments that come with the membership. Please read the following information carefully and completely. All outstanding balances must be paid in full before or during the registration process.

Stingrays billing is done through the T4L Swim Team Management, Inc. all payments must be made payable to T4L

An annual non-refundable registration fee of $220 payable online through the Stingrays website is required for each swimmer, or as a rolling registration for returning swimmers on July 1st each year.  For more than one athlete per family. (Age Group, Youth, Senior, Future and National groups only) there is a $20 discount per athlete for the yearly registration. The annual registration fee covers the cost of USA Swimming, Georgia Swimming Registration, a subscription to the informative “Splash” magazine, and administrative fees. Swimmers will not be allowed to begin practice until the registration fee is received. The Pro-Rated Registration Fee drops to $175 January 1st; $145 March 1st; $100 April 1st

Going forward after your initial registration, registration will be charged to your account, as do recurring monthly fees and meet charges, on the 1st of July in subsequent years and will constitute a ‘rolling registration.

Family Commitment Charge
There will be a mandatory $150 commitment/charge per family
Stingrays Swimming is proud to sponsor and help promote and subsidize USA Swimming programs as well as fund scholarships, travel, water fees, and team equipment costs for Stingrays Swimming. Stingrays Swimming will host the Annual Swim-A-Thon fundraiser in the fall to help achieve these goals. The Online Fundraiser will be active on the website in September, so everyone can start early. The Fundraiser system on our Website offers easy templates for emailing prospects and tracking your donations. Details on the Swim-A-Thon events and prizes will be communicated by the coaches and on the website once the program is finalized and active. (Note that 5% of the proceeds will go to USA Swimming and the remainder will go toward scholarships, travel, and team equipment costs.) The family commitment charge is due December 1st each year.

Although the commitment charge is mandatory, the Swim-A-Thon allows the swimmer’s family to defray costs by raising money that would otherwise have been a direct charge to the swimmer’s family. Alternatively, the funds contributed by the swimmer’s family may be tax-deductible, in part or whole, as a charitable contribution.
Consult your tax professional as Stingrays Swimming is not a tax expert and does not purport to be such.

Should the swimmer’s family elect to pay the $150 charge, said the amount can be divided into two installments of $75 each (December 1st and January 1st). You MUST contact the Billing Department via email by November 15th if you wish for the fee to be split. If a swimmer registers in December, the commitment charge is $100; in January $75; in February 1st $50; in March $25 which is invoiced on the day they register. Email Billing [email protected]

Please carefully review your courtesy Billing Summary that is emailed to the primary email on your account around the 20th of each month to make sure you are aware of and prepared to pay the correct amount due.  Non-recurring charges such as meet fees, cap fees, or special t-shirt fees may be added to your recurring monthly dues and are due in full on the 1st of each month.  A $20 late fee is automatically billed to any account for which the Total Outstanding Balance has not been received and posted to an account by the 15th of each month.  For each swim meet a swimmer signs up to attend, an $8 fee to cover Stingray's administrative and club costs at each meet is charged to the swimmer’s account in addition to the host team's individual event and surcharge fees. All fees are noted in the notes section when an athlete signs up for each swim meet. Because meet fees must be paid by Stingrays in advance, these fees will not be reversed if a swimmer fails to attend a meet for which s/he signed up to attend. When the sign-up deadline ends the athlete is considered in the meet and no refunds will be given.

For all hosted swim meets A Service Requirement is required by each family:
Service Requirement: our contact volunteer is Caroline Horne [email protected]
Each family is required to perform service hours at Stingray-hosted Meets, for each day their child has committed. Failure to perform such service will be subject to a $25 charge payable to T4L. Adjudication of the fine as well as additional remedies will be handled by T4L.
You must contact our meet contact volunteer before the meet if you are unable to follow through with the commitment.

Our contact volunteer is Caroline Horne [email protected]

Registration information and fee structure are available at evaluation.
