How to Join Los Alamos Aquatomics

  1. Contact a Coach to set up a time to for a try-out. This will entail watching the swimmer in the water to determine what group will be best for him/her. Swimmer will need a suit and goggles for the try-out. We can provide a swim cap as needed. Acquire paperwork at the trial.

  1. Turn in all paperwork to a Coach. All forms must be turned in before a swimmer can start a 2-week trial. These forms can also be found online at Aquatomics.org under the “Register” tab.
  • LAA Registration Payment Form
  • LAA Medical Liability Waiver
  • USA Swimming Registration (proof of age required for first-time registrants; this can be a copy of Birth Certificate or Passport)
  • LAA Code of Conduct
  • LAA Photography Consent Form
  1. Try-out the team for 2 free weeks. During this time the coaches will be determining if the group assignment is best for your swimmer, and if the swimmer will be a good fit for the Team. You and your swimmer will be determining if the Team is a good fit for your family. The 2-week trial is only for swimmers who have never been registered in USA Swimming previously.
  2. After the 2-week trial, contact the Treasurer or Administrator to declare your intent to continue swimming or opt out.

Please remember: the entrance to the pool is separate than the Aquatomics dues. You must always pay for pool entrance in addition to the Team fees. This includes the time during the 2-week trial.

We offer USA Swimming's Outreach registration, at a reduced yearly rate for swimmers.  Please contact an LAA coach for requirements and forms.

 

How to Join Los Alamos Aquatomics Masters

  1. Contact us at Aquatomics.org. Click the “Contact Us” link on the left side of the homepage. Give us some idea of your ability level. A coach will then get back to you about the schedule.  You can also come to practice Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday morning 6am-7am and talk with the Aquatomics Head Coach, Mark Scott.
  2. Acquire paperwork at your first practice or print it out from the webpage and bring it with you to your first practice.
  3. Turn in all paperwork to a Coach. All forms must be turned in before a swimmer can start a 2-week trial. For Masters swimmers, the following forms must be completed. (These forms can also be found online at Aquatomics.org in the “Register” tab.)
  • LAA Registration Payment Form

  • After the 2-week trial, you must register with USMS (United States Masters Swimming) online at USMS.org.
  1. If you’ve never been a member of a team before, you can try-out the team for 2 free weeks. During this time the coaches will be determining if the group will be a good fit for you, and you will be able to decide if joining Masters is right for you. The 2-week trial is only for swimmers who have never been a registered member of a USMS Team.
  2. After the 2-week trial, contact the Treasurer or Administrator to declare your intent to continue swimming or opt out.
