Our team consists of individuals who have the desire to have fun and utilize their God-given potential in the sport of triathlon.  Whatever your level of fitness, ability, or competition, Tri4Him JET has a place for you and your child's desired level of involvement.  Our goal is to use our passion for sport, faith, and young people to develop their skills to their maximum potential and interest in the sport: and to do so in a FUN, safe, and friendly environment.  Participating in a sport like triathlon is about much more than maximizing your physical abilities, but developing the character traits and discipline that transfer to being successful in life.

Team Structure

Tri4Him's JET is organized into multiple groups to provide young athletes of every commitment and performance level a place to flourish and grow.

Regardless which group is the best fit, ALL Tri4Him JET athletes will learn to have strong character, work ethic, sportsmanship, responsibility, and respect for teammates, fellow competitors, and officials.

Multiple Practice Locations

Tri4Him's JET is pleased to announce that we'll be having multiple practice locations this season to accommodate the demand for participating with, and being part of, everything that Tri4Him stands for.  Coaches are USAT certified and dedicated to ensuring your athletes success, whatever that may be for them.

 

DEVELOPMENTAL GROUP

Brief Description

  • Beginner level athlete

  • Learn fundamentals of each discipline

  • Gain confidence in each discipline

  • Benefit from team atmosphere

  • Integrate fun with hard work

  • Create base fitness level in each discipline

General Criteria: Athlete competes only in local youth races and their race age 12 or below.

Basic Training Schedule:  3 days a week; Monday, Thursday, Saturday

Potential Race Calendar:  Local youth races.

 

PRE-COMPETITIVE GROUP

Brief Description

  • Experienced young athlete (Completed 10+ Tri's)
  • Driven to Compete and work hard
  • Wants to be there, does not need pushed to practice, but pushed to excel
  • Must meet Time Trial times to participate
  • Benefit from team atmosphere
  • Integrate fun with hard work
  • Athlete typically races in Regional Youth Series
  • Continue to become proficient in each discipline
  • Gain confidence in performing at higher speeds
  • Learn competitiveness
  • Develop accountability
  • Make physical gains in performance

General Criteria: Athlete competes in local youth races and regional series races and their race age 12 or below.  This group is for the dedicated young athlete who has big dreams and is willing to put in the work to achieve them.

Basic Training Schedule:  4 days a week; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

Potential Race Calendar:  Local youth races and travels to Regional Youth Series.

 

COMPETITIVE GROUP

Brief Description

  • Intermediate level athlete

  • Continue to become proficient in each discipline

  • Gain confidence in performing at higher speeds

  • Learn competitiveness

  • Develop accountability

  • Make physical gains in performance

General Criteria:  Athlete is race age 13 and over OR athlete competes in out-of-town, in-state races.

Basic Training Schedule:  5 days a week; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday

Potential Race Calendar:  Local races plus Regional Youth Series races.

 

ELITE – REGIONAL GROUP

Brief Description

  • Intermediate to advanced level athlete

  • Athletes possess good knowledge of each discipline

  • Athlete demonstrates proficiency in each discipline

  • Athlete is driven to achieve high level of performance

  • Athlete competes in local Sprint distance races

  • Athlete competes in out-of-town, in-state Sprint distance races

General Criteria: Athlete race age is 16 and above OR any athlete racing Sprint distance.

Basic Training Schedule:  5 days a week; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday

Potential Race Calendar:  U15 race in the Regional Youth Series and in-state sprints.  U19 race in-state sprints.

 

ELITE – NATIONAL GROUP

Brief Description

  • Advanced level

  • Athlete possess excellent knowledge and abilities in the biking discipline

  • Athlete is proficient in each discipline

  • Athlete competes in local Sprint distance races

  • Athlete competes in out-of-town, in-state Sprint distance races.

  • Athlete competes in national-qualifying races

  • Athlete competes at nationals if qualified

General Criteria:  Athlete attempting to qualify for USAT National Championship

Basic Training Schedule:  5 days a week; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday

Potential Race Calendar:  U15 race in the Regional Youth Series and the National Qualifiers.  U19 race In-State Sprints plus National Qualifiers.

 

*Individual Coaching Sessions

Individual coaching sessions are available for sport specific work, goal setting, race preparation and more. Group and/or bundle sessions are available at a discounted rate.

 

 

CLINICS, CAMPS, AND OPEN HOUSES

Tri4Him JET hosts several clinics, camps, and open houses throughout the year to give kids and families in the community the opportunity to experience the culture and aura of the Tri4Him team.  Clinics are open to JET member and non-members alike.  Whether you are new to the sport or a seasoned veteran, our staff of professional triathletes & USAT certified coaches can help take your game to the next level.

Each clinic, camp, and open house will be an opportunity for you to experience the Tri4Him JET team, coaches, and learn some of the tricks of the trade involved with all things triathlon: swim, bike, run, transitions, drills, etc.  Contact us today to see what we're doing next and get a chance to up your game.

SEASON CALENDAR

Tri4Him JET practices year round.  This allows our athletes to maintain fitness through the off-season.  We prevent "burn out" by offering time off and fun and exciting training sessions all year round.  Our racel season schedule runs from February through October with the off-season training block occurring from November through January.

 

PRACTICE LOCATIONS

SOUTHLAKE/GRAPEVINE/COLLEYVILLE

The main hub of Tri4Him JET is the Southlake/Grapevine/Colleyville areas.  We're currently meeting at the following locations and times:

MON/WED/THURS:  GCISD Swim Center and Track

​TUE:  Texas Motor Speedway Bike & Transition Run

SAT:  Rotates, Oak Grove Park/Lake Grapevine, Marine Creek Reservoir/Tarrant County North Campus and other locations.

 

NORTH DALLAS

MON: Swim at Telos

TUES: Bike/bike - Valley View Park (75240) Hillcrest & Alpha, just north of 635

​THURS: Swim at Telos, Run at Vitruvian Park 5:45 (3875 Ponte Ave, Addison, TX 75001)

SAT: Workouts will be at multiple different locations, usually with the Colleyville/Grapevine team.  This provides the athletes with the opportunity to workout with a large group and get the team effect!
