Goal Forms

Ketchikan Killer Whales Goal Program

Swimmers should annually fill out their goal form and return them to their coaches to review.  All swimmers should consult with their parents to complete their goal form at the beginning of the season or when they join the team.  Goals are what the swimmer would like to accomplish that season and are not parent and coach goals for the swimmers.  The purpose of setting goals in swimming is to create accountability in the athlete, plan for long term success in swimming, to motivate attendance and work ethic, and to buy into their success or shortcomings in the pool.  

Once the goals form is filled out and brought in to the coach the swimmer and coach will review it to ensure that the goals are realistic enough for the swimmer yet challenging enough as well.  Coaches are also individualizing the goals for each of the swimmers to make them as best as they can for that individual.  

Once goals are finalized a copy will be be left with the coach and a copy will go home with the swimmer.
