(From left to right) Jan Rumble, Thaddaeus Gunther, Rebecca Hardy, Elysha Chapple, Dana Jaworski

Thaddaeus Gunther - Head Coach; senior, gold and silver coach

Thad is a corn-fed Iowan who grew up swimming for his local YMCA and high school before going on to swim at University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point.  He has extensive swimming knowledge from his years as a competitor and as a coach of club and high school teams in Minnesota and in Alaska.

Swimmers and parents who observe Thad on deck can't help but ask, "Why is he always smiling?"...the answer?...because he knows more than you. wink

When not dropping nautical knowledge on KSC swimmers, Coach Thad enjoys disc golf and long walks in the rain.

Dana Jaworski - Dolphin Coordinator; bronze coach

Coach Dana was born in Abilene, Texas, where she swam competitively from the age of 7 and ultimately earned recognition as an All-District, All-Regional state qualifier in high school and as an All-Conference and All-Academic scholarship swimmer at Henderson State.

Coach Dana has over 23 years of professional aquatics experience.  She has worked as a lifeguard, as a Water Safety Instructor, as a pool manager and, of course, as a coach.

In 2005, Dana and her husband, Jeff Jaworski relocated to Anchor Point, Alaska.  In addition to coaching, she is active in her local church, helps run a homeschool co-op, and homeschools her children ages 10, 7, and 4.

Coach Dana continues to compete in triathlons and open water swims as much as she can.  She understands the many advantages of swimming that go beyond the pool. She also enjoys passing on her knowledge of swimming to young people to help them make the most of their swimming experience both in the pool and in life.
