Wasilla Waves Swim Club is a local, non-profit, swim club for youth ages 5 though 18. We coach for competitive swimming while promoting the development of good sportsmanship, individual integrity, and life long healthy habits.
We practice year round at Wasilla Public Pool located in the South Parking Lot of Wasilla High School.
During the school year our practice takes place in the afternoon after school. In the summer and over school breaks we practice in the morning.
Head Coach: Hadley Remele
Coach Hadley is originally from Indiana and has lived in Alaska for 8 years. She has been involved with swimming in some manner since the age of 5. She participated competitively in age group swimming and high school swimming up until the age of 18, and in high school, taught private and group swimming lessons, coached younger swimmers on her swim team and was a lifeguard. After moving to Alaska, she coached as an assistant coach for Colony High School with Dawn Brettrager for three years and will be going into her third season as the head coach for Wasilla High School Swimming and Diving this fall. She is also a teacher at Wasilla High School. In Coach Hadley's words...."I believe that swimming is a life long sport that anyone can participate in and that participating in sports can be a key part of a child's development. I am glad to have the opportunity to give back to this sport what it has given me at Wasilla Waves". Please feel free to contact her via email through Team Unify or set up a meeting with questions or concerns at any time.
