Swim Meet Packing List:

Competition Suit

Caps (2 Preferred)

Goggles (2 preferred)

At least 2 towels

Sun Screen (if outdoor pool)

Snacks

Water or juice bottle

Sharpie (black), Pen and Highlighter

Clothing: Several changes of clothes such a sweatpants, sweatshirts, and t-shirts. Swimmers need to stay warm between events and there is nothing worse than pulling on cold soggy sweatpants.

Chair: Something comfy for your swimmer to sit on while we're in the awaiting area, such as a sleeping bag, old blanket, or chair. Most parents bring camping chairs for themselves. 

Entertainment: Be prepared to sit around for a couple of hours. Staying awake and alert will help you swim faster, so bring whatever keeps you happily entertained: a friend or two, a deck of cards, something to read, pens and paper for coloring, your iPod or iPad, board games, or all the above.

Money: Meet programs usually coast a couple of bucks. And you may want a food item from the concession stand.

*Special Parents Note*

The pool area is usually very warm. Make sure to dress appropriately. Nothing is worse than being hot at a swim meet. It makes the time pass very slowly!

Getting the Hang of it: After a couple of swim meets, you'll know exactly what you need to pack. Make sure you pack in plenty of time so that if you remember something later, you still have time to throw it in your bag. Either way, this list will help you get started on packing your bag and easing your nerves before your big meet.
