For parents who are interested in a board position, please contact us.
All of our administrative positions and officials are run by volunteering parents. They are the people who run meets, officiate meets, sell concessions, spirit wear, heat sheets, set up equipment, email announcements, manage team website, manage team registration, file tax returns, plan annual budget, establish club policy that is in uniform with USA Swimming, and make sure our coaches are compensated for their hard work. All of our voting-positions are 2-year term. All members are encouraged to get to know our board members, nominate, elect, and give feedback.
Aside from administrative personnel, the Hampton Dolphins cannot exist without parent members who volunteer during our home meets. Our club is obligated to host 3 to 4 meets each season. These meets bring significant income from concessions for our team. Therefore, parent involvement at home meets is a must.
Parents are required to volunteer for each Home Meet for 2 sessions minimum for each household. Missing volunteer sessions will result in $100 fine each. Parents are welcome to find a volunteer substitute to fill in. Please check our Team Unify regularly for volunteer signup when our home meet is notified.
