Swim Groups and Fees
To allow our team to be competitive and develop your child's love for swimming we have five levels of training groups for fall 2017:
 
 
T1 $295
Three practices per week for 60 min
Schedule:Tue/Thur 5-6pm, Sun Noon-1pm
Location: Totman Pool
Coaches: Jenn, Steph, Evan, Jay, Sadie
Focus: Development of fundamental strokes (free, back, breast, fly). Learn to use diving blocks, turns and how to follow the pace clock.
Suggested age: eleven and under
Prerequisite to join:  Has basic swimming knowledge, is able to complete 25 yards in 3 out of 4 strokes.
 
 
T2 $340
Four practices per week for 75-90 min
Schedule: Tue/Thur 6-7:15, Sat 11:00-12:30 and Sunday 10:30-Noon
Summer US Mon/Wed 5:30-7pm, Friday 5:30-6:45pm arms and Tue 6-7:15pm Totman
Locations: Totman/ARMS
Coaches: Jenn, Steph, Evan, Jay, Sadie
Focus: Stroke development, refining skills, using pace clock, building endurance and learning to read practice sets.
Suggested age: eight to twelve
Prerequisite to join: Masters 50 in 3 out of 4 strokes, 100 IM, starting blocks, proper flip turns, 50% or greater practice attendance.
 
 
T3 $380
Four practices per week for 90 min
Schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri 5:30-7pm ARMS and Saturdays 9:30-11am Totman
Locations: Totman/ARMS
Coaches: Josie, Evan
Focus: improving endurance with aerobic training. Begin to introduce some anaerobic training while maintaining strong stroke mechanics.
Suggested age: eleven to eighteen
Prerequisite to join: Masters 50 of each stroke, 200 IM. Ability to make 5 x 100 1:50, read sets and follow the pace clock independently, 60% or greater practice attendance.
 
 
T4 $440
Five 90 min practices and one 120 min practice per week
Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:45-8:15pm and Sat 7:30-11:30am
Location: Weekdays at Amherst Middle School, Saturday at Totman Pool
Coaches: Evan, Josie
Focus: Improving aerobic and anaerobic training capacities while maintaining sound technique.  Learn race strategies.
Suggested age: eleven to eighteen
Prerequisite to join: Masters 100 of each stroke, 200 IM.  Ability to make 5 x 100 1:35, 75% or greater practice attendance
 
 
T5  $495
6 + practices per week for 90-150 min
Schedule: Mon, Fri 6:30-8:30pm; Tue, Thur 7-9:00pm; Wed 6:00-8:30; Sat 7:30-10am (possible morning workouts TBD)
Location: Weekdays at Amherst Middle School, Saturday at Totman Pool
Coaches: Evan
Focus: This is our most competitive group, focus is building on all the skills learned and being fully committed to swimming on a year-round basis and taking their swimming to the next level. Will begin to incorporate dryland training into practice routine.
Suggested age: thirteen and up.
Prerequisite to join: Masters and competes in all strokes and distances, attends 80% of practices. Swimmers must have at least 3 (13-14) US NE silvers standards and be able to make 6 x 100 1:25. US membership and preseason training.
Group movement is a coaching decision. Group placement is not a statement on the long term success of the swimmer, and no swimmer is expected to progress through all groups. Factors that go into the decision making process:

  • Training Ability
*Athletes unable to meet attendance requirement may be advised to move down to a less intensive level at the end of the season.
