1) Introductions
(Get to know one another,

bond. Take attendance)

1) Fast review of week 1.

1) Fast review of week 1 and 2.

1) Review of weeks 1-3

2) Basic Water Safety
( No running on deck, no letting go of the wall, no swimming alone, no splashing, no diving in the shallow end etc.)

2) Freestyle kick
( Unassisted, out of the water, w/ boards and noodles. Faces in and faces out. . try to do 25 yds)

2) Backstroke kick (Unassisted, out of the water, on the edge of pool, with a board/ noodle, use ducks on foreheads)

2) Freestyle Review/ endurance build up.

3) Review Basics
( Bubbles, face submersion, bobbing with inhale/ exhale)

3) Arm circles/ Freestyle arms.
(Out of the water, on the wall, with a board/ noodle)

3) Backstroke Streamline with Kick

3) Backstroke Review/ endurance build up.

4) Front and back floats. Unassisted for as long as they can.

4) Side breathing with bubbles-Inhale/ exhale.
( Out of the water, on the wall, with a board/noodle)

4) Backstroke Arms.
(In and out of the water. Thumb- Pinky, enter close to ear, straight arms.)

4) Diving Introduction. (Sitting, Kneeling, Compact, Stride and Shallow)

5) Streamline/
Front and Back glides unassisted, without kick.

( Try to get them to do it for 5 yards w/o breaking streamline off wall)

FUN AND GAMES

5) Freestyle
( Put it all together, use aids to help- boards/ catch-up, noodles, sticks, tennis balls, etc. . build up to 25 yards)

5) Backstroke
(Put it all together. Head back, belly up, straight kicks, etc. Build up to 25 yards.)

* The above is used just as a guideline. Coaches discretion advised. Some classes will be more elementary then others. Go at the appropriate pace for each class, but focus on the above order and process.
