Recreation Team/Silver Practice
Swimmers in this group focus mainly on practicing and refining the four legal competitive strokes, having fun, and perfecting start and turn technique. Swimmers also learn how to swim sets and work hard. Usually, these participants are moved up from The Rock Shrimp Group, participated in our summer program, or come from another swim program where endurance and skills have been introduced.
Swimmers in this group learn about competition and how to focus on improvement of their own times from swim meet to swim meet. Improvement in times, endurance, strength and stroke technique are the true measure of success.
Your child can usually begin swimming with this group when they are mostly proficient in the 4 competitive strokes and can swim 100 yards without stopping. This group is exposed to the concepts of training for endurance, strength, flexibility, stroke technique and practices that are and hour and a half in length.
Winter Schedule starts November 11th:
Monday through Friday 4 to 5:30pm. Our practices are flexible, come 1 to 5 days a week. Swimming is the perfect companion sport to keep in shape for other sports!
