All Athletes must be registered members of USA Diving

USA Diving is the sanctioning organization for our training and competition program.  Register at www.usadiving.org. Go to Join USA Diving, then select Become a USA Diving Member, then Athlete Membership.  USA Diving have 3 levels of membership.  We recommend all divers start at the competitive blue level.

Competitive Limited: $12 is for training only.  No meets.

Competitive Blue: $20 is for training and local meets (Required for our Future Champions & JO levels)

Competitive Gold: $75 is for training, local meets and region, zone, national championships (Required for advanced JO level who will compete at qualifying meets for national competition.

 


Future Champions

Eligibility: Recommend not younger than 8 years, ability to swim 25 yards and prior dive experience.  We recommend beginners to the sport join our summer league or the Academy.  Competitive Limited or Blue member of USA Diving No Later Than first week of practice.

Training B:          90 minutes,  3 days/week

 

Goals:                The purpose of this program is to encourage the learning of fundamental skills through a progression of 8 levels.

Competition:       Novice divers may elect to compete in Junior Olympic events if the diver is able to execute the list of dives required by his/her age group category.

                       

 

Move-up requirements within Future Champions : Future Champion Groups are determined by the number of practices per week.  It is not based on skill level.

 

Move up requirement from Future Champions: Novice divers will advance to Junior Olympic diving when they demonstrate that they have a good mastery of the basic skills, have learned voluntary dives in all four positions, as well as demonstrate maturity in practice, and have a desire to regularly compete in competitive meets. 

 


Junior Olympic:

Eligibility: Recommend 8-18 years, ability to swim 25 yards and prior dive experience.  Competitive Blue or Gold member of USA Diving No Later Than first week of practice.

Ages:                  9 – 18 years old. (younger by exception)

 

Training:             90 minutes, 4 days/week (5 for elite)

 

Goals:                 Junior diving program is to provide a developmental diving and physical fitness program for the youth of the United States and to teach them the fundamentals of the sport of diving and the benefits of participation in athletic competitions.

 

 


 

 

Academy:

EligibilityEligibility: Recommend not younger than 8 years, ability to swim 25 yards and prior dive experience.  Competitive Limited of USA Diving No Later Than first week of practice.

Ages:                  8 – 18 years old. (younger by exception)

Training:             60 minutes, 2 days/week

Goals:                Learn basic springboard technique and dive skills to prepare for competition with the Future Champion Dive Group and Summer Program.

 

 


 

SENIORS:

 

USA Diving’s Senior Program is for divers who perform beyond the junior level. While the Senior Program typically includes divers between the ages of 14 and 30, it’s open to all those who meet the competitive requirements for senior-level dive meets.
