Senior 2

Coach: Daniel Vale

Senior 2 is the top level CMAC training group for swimmers 14 & over.  Swimmers in this group will focus on developing in all areas of swimming.  They are focused on the overall development of their abilities and compete at the highest level of competition. Qualifiers also expected to attend all sessions of Championship meets (WAG, JOs, JAG, etc.)

Competition Expectations:

Senior 2 swimmers compete in one (1) White/Red/Blue meet per month and swim 50’s, 100’s, and 200’s of freestyle and different strokes.

Dryland IS required for S2 swimmers

Practice Expectations:

Required to attend four (4) workouts per week

Senior 1

Coach: Kylie McCormick & Daniel Vale

The Senior 1 group is composed of swimmers 13 & up.  Swimmers in this group must be able to complete 200 yards of freestyle/backstroke on their own as well as 100 yards of butterfly and breaststroke on their own.  The focus of the Pre Senior group is to develop a strong training work ethic and complete challenging workouts/sets to improve competition times.  Swimmers in the group learn advanced drills and terminology in order to prepare for placement in the Senior II Group. 

Competition Expectations:

Senior 1 swimmers compete in one (1) White/Red/Blue meet per month and swim 50’s, 100’s, and 200’s of freestyle and at least one different stroke.

Practice Expectations:

Encouraged to attend three (3) workouts or more per week.

Platinum Group

Coach: Keith Ryan

A group designed for age group swimmers aged 9-13 training for  "Blue Times," and "JO Times". Dryland is required in addition to swim workouts.  Times are NOT the only requirement for this group.  Swimmers must maintain a positive attitude, good work ethic, and be able to train consistently, developing in all four strokes. Please see the Move up Scale 1 and Move up Scale 2 before inquiring about move-ups.

Competition Expectations:

J2 swimmers compete in one (1) White/Red/Blue meet per month and swim 50’s, 100’s, and 200’s of different strokes. Qualifiers also expected to attend all sessions of Championship meets (WAG, JOs, JAG, etc.)

Practice Expectations:

Four workouts per week is recommended, including Friday's and Saturday’s.

Swimmers are required to attend at least three practices per week.

-Finis Zoomers Gold, Finis Edge fins, or long fins cut by coach

Titanium Group

Coach: Kylie McCormick & Keith Ryan

Swimmers in this group must be able to legally complete 100 yards of freestyle and 50 yards of butterfly, backstroke, and breaststroke on their own.  The focus of the group is to develop a training base, while improving stroke technique for all four strokes.  Titanium group swimmers prepare to advance to the Platinum Group with Coach Keith. Please see the Move up Scale 1 and Move up Scale 2 charts before inquiring about move-ups. Swimmers aged 9-13.

Competition Expectations:

Titanium swimmers compete in one (1) White/Red/Blue meet per month and swim 50’s, 100’s, and 200’s of different strokes.

Practice Expectations:

Encouraged to attend three (3) workouts per week or more.

Gold Group

Coach: Keith Ryan & Kylie McCormick

Swimmers focus on developing in the fundamental areas of swimming.  Development of all four strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle) legally and applying common swimming terminology is an immediate focus as they prepare to advance to Titanium.  Gold swimmers are also recommended to participate in consistent monthly competition. Swimmers aged 9-12.

Competition Expectations:

Gold swimmers compete in one (1) White/Red/Blue meet per month and swim 25's, 50’s and/or 100’s of all different strokes

Practice Expectations:
Encouraged to attend 2-3 workouts per week, or more.

Silver

Coach: Kylie McCormick

The Silver group is CMAC's youngest training group of swimmers ages 5-9.  Swimmers focus on developing in the fundamental areas of swimming.  Development of all four strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle) legally and applying common swimming terminology is an immediate focus as they prepare to advance to the Gold or Titanium groups.  Silver swimmers are also introduced to monthly competition.

Competition Expectations:

Silver swimmers compete in one (1) White/Red/Blue meet per month and swim 25's, 50’s and/or 100’s of all different strokes

Practice Expectations:
Encouraged to attend 2-3 workouts per week, or more.

Water Polo SWIM Conditioning

Coach:

This group is for CMAC water polo players ONLY ages 11-14.  Workout is 30 minutes twice a week with emphasis on becoming a faster water polo player. Must be registered with USA Swim and CMAC Water Polo.

Competition Expectations:

Water polo SWIM group members have the option to compete in meets.

 

Practice Schedule:

Tuesday, Thursday 6:00-6:30pm

Practice Expectations:
Encouraged to attend 2 workouts per week

This group is for water polo players affiliated with CMAC looking to swim up to 10 workouts per month to enhance their swimming quality.  This group works out with regular CMAC swim groups that are age/ability appropriate.  Must be registered with USA Swim.

Water polo SWIM group members have the option to compete in meets.

 

Practice Schedule:

Up to 10 workouts per week.  Group placement will vary based on age/ability.

Practice Expectations:
