The Lifesaving Society is the Canadian governing body for competitive lifesaving, a sport recognized by the International Olympic Committee. Competition provides high-profile opportunities to showcase Canada's lifeguards, and to promote public awareness of Canada’s drowning and water-related injury prevention aims.
The Guelph Marlins offer skills training with specialized equipment necessary in dealing with pool and mock open-water emergencies.
Junior Lifeguard Games, designed for "serious fun," capitulate a season of training. Provincial/territorial and national championships are available to showcase the skills of our lifeguards and national lifesaving teams represent Canada in international competitions.
The Guelph Marlins competitive lifesaving program is offered during the spring and summer months.
If you are a junior, senior, or a master competitor who enjoys swimming, boarding, running on the beach, beach flags, etc then join us!
