Aquafest is held annually in November and we will be having our annual silent auction. This is a great opportunity to start reducing your fundraising commitment.
There are 2 ways to start:
1. Group Basket Contribution - Participate in the swim group basket challenge and earn volunteer points. (Please note this is a club fundraising event. All funds from the group baskets will go directly to the club.) This has always been quite successful in prior auctions with visiting clubs looking forward to our baskets for early Christmas shopping, so we would like to continue the success. Each participating group will choose a theme and a group lead who will collect the donations and put the basket together. Each family that donates an item to the basket will receive 25 points. The basket coordinator will receive an extra 50 points.
The group whose basket receives the largest bid each contributor will receive an additional 25 points. For smaller groups, speak with your coach about joining with another group.
Begin the discussion within your parent group, select a theme and email the details (ie. theme and group coordinator) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Possible themes include: game night, movie night, sports pack, best books to read, Coffee time/Tea time, etc.
2. Silent Auction Donation - This is a great way to begin reducing your fundraising commitment. Find a service/product to donate to the silent auction and the successful bid amount will be deducted from your fundraising commitment. In previous years we have had hockey/basketball tickets, movie passes, restaurant gift cards, knitted items etc. To assist you we have put together a donation request letter for you to use when approaching possible retailers/companies.
PLEASE NOTE - All items & baskets are to be dropped off at East Bayfield on Friday, November 3th, 2017. An email will be sent out confirming times for drop off.
Also, volunteers will be needed for set up as well as monitoring the silent auction. A signup sheet will be posted shortly – stay tuned! Come enjoy the fun and earn volunteer points in the process.

- The silent auction will be held on Saturday and Sunday final bids will close at 12 pm on Sunday.
