How to Join Cascade Swim Club
How Do I Know What Group to Register For?

Swimmers new to the club will need to be assessed by our coaches in order to be placed in a program.

  • 12 & Under - Must attend a scheduled Rookie Camp.  See below for details.
  • 13 & Over - Contact the club for an individual assessment

Cascade Swim Club provides age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

More information can be found on our Swim School and Competitive program pages found under the Programs menu.

How Old Do You Have To Be?

The Cascade Swim Club starts swimmers at 3 1/2 years-old (*ability to float on their own and put their face in the water are our minimum requirements), and everyone in between, all the way up to post-Varsity athletes competing for a spot on Canada's Olympic Team!

We also want to mention that we have a non-competitive program for teenagers and adults who are looking for supplemental training and technical work offered by our Senior XT program.

When are the Rookie Camps?

The Rookie Camp is a free assessment where our coaches will evaluate the new swimmers and let you know where they best fit within the Cascade program. The assessment takes about 20 minutes.  Experienced Cascade volunteers will also be on hand to answer questions and provide information.
