Physical Literacy & Dryland Programs

In addition to offering a competitive swim program, the CWC Sea Lions Swim Club provides its swimmers with access to an extensive training program outside of the pool.  With the advantage that access to the Calgary Winter Club's facilities and services affords its members, the Sea Lions swimmers benefit from these opportunities being aligned with the swim program set up by their coaches.

The Physical Literacy program accompanies training in the pool.  For senior swimmers, this out-of-pool training is known as dryland training.  More information about the Physical Literacy/Dryland schedule is available under the Current Season tab (Current Season Schedule).

"Physical literacy is the motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge, and understanding to value and take responsibility for engagement in physical activities for life."
