Swim Camps Overview

Swim Camps Overview

The Sea Lions Swim Club offers opportunities throughout the swim season to add to the weekly swim practices.  These additional sessions include, but are not limited to, the following:

              -  specific stroke improvement;

              -  dive and turn techniques;

              -  goal setting and swimming strategies;

              -  sessions with guest coaches; and/or

              -  access to 50 m pools for long course training.

See the Current Season tab for this season's camps, workshops, & events schedule.

Swim camps are sometimes group specific or generalized and available to all groups.  These swim camps are typically organized during the following times:

              -  pre-season session;

              -  technical sessions and workshops (throughout the year);

              -  Christmas Break; and

              -  Spring/Easter Break.

Participation in swim camps or sessions outside of the regular weekly training schedule are not a requirement; at the same time, they are highly recommended and offer swimmers exposure to additional training to boost their individual progress.

Sometimes swim camps involve travel outside of the city, province, or country.  For questions about team travel and chaperoned team travel, please see the various sections under the Current Season tab.
