Recreational Programs

Summer Recreational Program:

Synchro Starters at Terwillegar Rec Centre

Mondays and Wednesdays from August 8 to 29 from 5:45-6:45pm.

There is a limit of 6 participants in this class.  Program dues are $80.00 for 7 lessons.

Synchro Starters is a unique, play-based water orientation program to develop swimming skills through themed lessons on basic water skills, awareness, and comfort in the water. This program is for both boys and girls as the lessons are created to promote aquatic literacy, more specifically skills like breath control, propulsion, and coordination.

While Synchro Starters is a fun introduction to synchro-related skills, it is not a swimming lesson and does not teach swimming strokes. Participants should take opportunities to improve their swimming skills up to Swim Level 3 or higher so that after a year or so in synchro starters, they can join the Aurora Synchro's Wildrose FUNdamentals or Wildrose programs.

To sign up for this session, go to the Events Tab /August 8/Synchro Starters and click the “Register Online” button. You’ll be led through forms requesting account and member information and asked to pay the course fee by credit card.

Fall/Winter Recreational Program:
