  • teamwork
  • time management
  • presentation skills
  • rhythm
  • other life skills, such as time management

Wildrose synchro teams may be of mixed ages. At a meet, the event the team enters is based on the average age of the members of the team. However, swimmers perform figures in their individual age category. Wildrose age groups for events are 10U, 11-12, 13-15, and 16-18.

For example, if a team is made up of children ages 11, 11, 11, 12, 12, 13, 13,* the average age of the team is 12, so the team would perform in the 11-12 team event. The swimmers ages 11 and 12 would perform 11-12 figures, and the swimmers age 13 would perform 13-15 figures.

Synchro age is calculated as at the end of the year when the competitions are held. For 2018-2019 the competitions occur in 2019, so age is calculated as at December 31, 2019.
