They will be required to maintain a log book detailing their specific high performance training.
The focus of the National Development Squad is to maintain a passion and love of the sport of swimming. National Development swimmers will strive to improve their physical fitness, and build endurance while being taught proper stroke techniques, and improved training habits. National Development swimmers will also train to improve their test set times in order to qualify and compete at Age Group Nationals, Senior Nationals, Eastern Canadian Championships, and other high level meets. The Halton Hills Blue Fins will also prepare these athletes to swim while at University and to train and compete at a high performance level.
