It is designed for swimmers ages 9 and above who are ready to train in a group environment and attend 50% of the practices. At the Squad 2 level it is expected the swimmers will attend competitions as well as team functions throughout the season. Squad 2 may also be given the opportunity to compete in the second half of the year in 50 m pools (long course) instead of 25 m pools (short course).
The focus of Squad 2 is to build a passion and love of the sport of swimming. Squad 2 swimmers will improve their physical fitness, and build endurance while being taught proper stroke techniques, and improved training habits. Squad 2 swimmers will also improve their test set times with the intention of progressing to Squad 1.
