Provincial Development Squad
The Provincial Development Squad trains from October to the end of June and beyond for those swimmers who have at least 1 current B Ontario Festival Time and are currently in Squad 1. The Provincial Development Squad is mentored by Coach Shannon Cunningham and Head Coach Chris Henderson.
Equipment Required: Swimsuit, Swim Cap, Goggles, (Kick Board, Fins, Pull Buoy - available at the pool)

Priority Meets: Summer & Winter Festivals and Provincial Championships
The Provincial Development Squad training is based on Swimming Canada's Long Term Athlete Development Plan (LTAD) Stage 5 - Train to Compete. It is designed for swimmers ages 14 and under who are ready to train in a group environment and take direction from their Coach.
The focus of the Provincial Development Squad is to maintain a passion and love of the sport of swimming. Provincial Development swimmers will strive to improve their physical fitness, and build endurance while being taught proper stroke techniques, and improved training habits. Provincial Development swimmers will also train to improve their test set times in order to qualify and compete at Ontario Summer and Winter Festivals, and Ontario Provincial Championships, and other high level meets.
