Mini Hyack Program

Learn to Swim - Mini Hyack Program

The City of Coquitlam and HYACK Swim Club jointly run the Mini Hyack Program at the City Centre Aquatic Complex (CCAC) in Coquitlam. Mini Hyack Program is a program dedicated to teaching children to swim well in a fun, challenging and rewarding atmosphere. The program teaches children the basics of the four swimming strokes: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle. As well, participants are introduced to swimming starts, turns and components of other aquatic sports.

This program is very open-ended and promotes the development of a swimmer rather than a "pass-fail" method.
