For all questions related to administrative, such as dues, safety, or policy issues, please contact one of the board members.

Board of Directors Statement
The Board of Directors is responsible for the short and long term management of the Kelowna AquaJets swim club. The Board of Directors shall always act in the best interest of the entire Kelowna AquaJets swim club. The Kelowna AquaJets mission statement and club philosophy shall be the guiding principles for the Board of Directors' decisions. Honesty, integrity and transparency must be maintained by the board at all times. Members in good standing shall be provided opportunity to meet with the Board. Throughout this, open and clear communication between the Board of Directors and the membership is of paramount importance.

Roles and responsibilities of the board of directors shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Hiring all coaches
  • Performance evaluations of coaches
  • Representing Kelowna AquaJets swim club at the regional and provincial level
  • Advertising and recruitment of new swimmers
  • Registration of swimmers with Swim BC/ Swim Canada
  • Management of all assets and financial aspects
  • Managing Kelowna AquaJets home swim meets
  • Provide communication with the membership through an updated website, regular e-mails to the membership, and through annual and semi-annual general meetings
  • Provide a parent coach liaison
  • Supply team equipment for members to purchase
  • Co-ordinating fundraising efforts for the swim club
  • Provide an opportunity for members in good standing to present to the Board. Members in good standing may contact the President or Vice-President and ask to be placed on the agenda for the next Board of Directors' meeting.
  • Fostering a positive environment on deck for all swimmers

Roles and responsibilities of the membership shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Remain an integral part in the swimmers personal and swimming development
  • Vote in a Board of Directors capable of running the Kelowna AquaJets swim club
  • Assist in the running of this volunteer organization, including roles at swim meets, fundraising and advertising
  • Follow due process when any concerns are raised.
