Swim Meet Entry Fees

You can expect to pay Meet Entry Fees (approximately $8-$10 per race) and a meet surcharge of $12 for any competition your swimmer is entered into during the course of the year.  As a competitive swim team, all competitive swimmers are expected to register for meets during the season. The purpose of this is to develop an understanding of the competitive environment and foster a team atmosphere.

2019 Summer Swimming Fee
($150 - includes summer meet fees)

In order to help us schedule pool time effectively, Junior, Junior Performance, Senior and Senior Performance swimmers planning to compete past LC Regional champs will be asked to register for summer swimming which will run until the middle of July. In addition to championship meets for those who qualified, we will also be attending at least 1 meets with easier or no time standards.

Dryland Training Fee ($100-$200)

Foundry Athletics ($200) – a dryland strength and conditioning regimen – is a key component for our Senior and Senior Performance swimmers.  Although not mandatory, it is highly recommended. With the deep discount, this fee is not refundable. Our Junior swimmers ($100) are encouraged to take part in a strength and stretching program taking place at Queens, provided by Focus Fitness.

Late Payment Fee

Payments of other fees and charges are due within one month; overdue accounts may be subjected to a 4% late penalty fee.

Volunteer Commitment Fee

In order for our meets to run effectively and therefore be successful, we need the ongoing support of our families on meet days.  KBM has adopted a minimum participation policy for the Main Competitive Program swimmer families (as is common practice with other teams) to ensure that we have the help we need each swim season. Therefore, as part of your registration, you will be required to agree to meet the volunteer commitment or pay by the end of the season a Volunteer Commitment Fee amount, (refer to chart below).  The chart indicates how many sessions (typically ½ of a competition meet day) you must volunteer for and the level of officiating required.  Below are the number of sessions that are typically available at our KBM hosted swim meets to provide opportunities for families to fulfill their volunteer commitment:

Oct 2018 Pentathlon Meet - 1 session
Dec 2018 Distance & Development Meet - 3 sessions
Feb 2019 SC Heats and Finals Finale 6 sessions
May 2019 Season extender - 4 sessions
