The 12 and Under Celebration is coming up on January 17 and 18. If you are interested in working or mentoring in a level 2 position (i.e. other than Timing and Strokes and Turns), you should be able to sign up now. The Meet Referee is responsible for assigning these jobs and the way to sign up is by using your OSOA.CA account. There are instructions for doing this on the LAC site under the Officials tab. These job requests are not guaranteed so you should make your requests as soon as you can. If you are working toward Level 2 or 3 then please say this in your comments. You can usually sign up for these jobs weeks in advance of the meet. The postings for senior positions are already available for the Sting meet.
We had 5 successful clinics in December and January. If you were unable to attend and still wish to take a clinic before April then I recommend that you try the online clinics. If you look on the Officials tab on the LAC site and select Training Clinics then you will find everything that you need to know about the online clinics is posted there.
If you have taken a clinic and have still not registered as an official on OSOA.CA then please do so. Again, everything you need to know about registering is posted on the Officials tab on the LAC site. Credits for clinics taken will not be given out if you have not registered.
We have a number of people who have taken the Strokes and Turns clinic but have never gotten around to taking the Timer Clinic. If you are one of these officials could you please take the online Timekeeper Clinic. Without the Timekeeper clinic you cannot work on the finish end of the pool as a Head Lane Timer.
Finally for this week, If you are attending the WOSA Short Course Champs in Windsor, each team is expected to provide officials at each session of this meet. If you are there and could help out, this would be greatly appreciated by the meet management.

Message from the SC Regionals Meet Management
We are sending this information out about the upcoming SC Regionals in Windsor - February 6th - 8th, 2015.
In the past, coaches collected orders for WOSA merchandise (T shirts and hoodies). This year we have created an online store and parents will need to order direct and collect their purchase at the meet if they want their swimmer to have merchandise. Less work for the coaches. Please - can you pass the information along to your officials/parents if they want to place an order for their swimmers? The online store is at www.leamingtonlasers.ca and they will need to order by no later than January 20th.
Also, the sign up for officiating at SC Regionals has been on the OSOA site for some time now. The Regional Meet Package has always had that each team will provide a minimum number of officials per session. Please forward this information to your officials to encourage them to sign up online at www.osoa.ca
