The weather's finally starting to heat up, soon we'll be heading into our summer schedule, starting May 30, and some outdoor training at the Thames Park Pool (make sure you check the latest training schedules), remember the importance of hydration and sunscreen at ALL times, not just when you are at the pool. Everyone's been doing a great job of staying on top of their practice schedules, we had some very good results at the Hollandia meet 2 weeks ago...it's behind us now though. Starting in mid-June we move into the championship season, with Regionals, Provincials and Nationals all looming on the near horizon. Stay on top of your school work, keep getting your 60hrs of sleep per week, and push yourself in your training every day. This is the time of year when commitment levels can start to waiver a bit...stay focused on your swimming goals (which you have all hopefully clearly defined)! How well are you going to finish in June, July and August what you started way back in September? GO LAC GO!

Hello Coaches and Club Presidents,
The WOSA 12&Under Long Course Regionals are fast approaching! I wanted to remind everyone that if a swimmer is interested in WOSA merchandise it needs to be ordered ahead of time and the deadline is midnight on May 29th, 2015. Parents/swimmers that would like to order can do so online at www.rowswimming.ca under the WOSA Long Course Regional tab and can pickup the ordered merchandise at the swim meet. The LAC Coaches are happy to announce that the registration for Swim Camp 2015 is open! The camp will run from July 6th-9th. Swimmers born in 2003 or later are eligible. LAC has just two more meets to host to finish up the 2014/15 season. The Swim Ontario Summer Festival will be held on June 27 and 28 and our outdoor season closer, the Dr. Paul Hauch Invitational, is on July 10 to 12. You can sign up now for senior official positions at the Swim Ontario Summer Festival using your OSOA accounts. If you are not yet qualified, but plan to be qualified before the meet, please let Greg Lewis, the Meet Referee, know this by saying so in the comments when you register on-line using your OSOA account.
The on-line clinics are still available for those who want to learn a new job and I am willing to teach a live clinic if you can scare up a few people to attend with you. As always, each clinic that you take for the first time is worth a session credit.
