Congratulations to all of our 12 & under swimmers on some great racing at our annual 12&Under Festival. There were plenty of personal bests, including 16 swimmers who achieved 100% best times, and 33 LAC swimmers won a total of 94 individual medals, including 35 gold, 40 silver, and 19 bronze. And special congratulations to first time Provincial Festival qualifier Amaris Peng and first time Regional qualifier Ethan Mills. Our Time Trial on Sat evening was also a success for those 13&over swimmers who attended.

You may or may not know it is a LAC tradition that, when we are competing in a meet, those swimmers who win their heat on Sunday, whether during Sun morning prelims or Sun afternoon timed finals, are recognized for their "Finish Strong" performance (on the last day of the meet) with a LAC Performance Tattoo. There will now be another opportunity for our swimmers to earn a Performance Tattoo, with what we are calling a "Relay Real" performance.  Any LAC swimmer who swims faster than their individual personal best in their relay split, in any LAC relay at any meet, will receive a tattoo to recognize their success in achieving a "3D" relay performance, Digging Down Deep, for their teammates and team, for being "Relay Real." The first tattoos will be given to those Time Trial participants who achieved this feat.

Keep working hard, there's lots of exciting racing still to come!

The January spiritwear order has been placed. Next order will be March.

Session credits will be updated later next week.

Information on how to access your credits is available on the LAC website under the “Parent Info” tab. If you have any questions please email Donna

12 and Under Celebration and 13 & Over Time Trial: Congratulations to first time Meet Manager Geoff Moskalyk and Competition Coordinator Denise McDonald on the excellent meets that we hosted on the weekend.  Nicely done!  Thank you to all of the officials and support crews who pitched in to help.  We could not do this without all of you.  What a team!

WOSA Short Course Championship - I am the Competition Coordinator for WOSA.  I am still accepting requests from people who want to work as senior officials.  If you want to work senior official positions at WOSA, will have the clinic by the meet, and have not already done so, please let me know.  I need to know the sessions that you are available and what positions you are seeking.

Clinics – I will be hosting a Recorder/Scorer clinic on Saturday, January 28 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the downstairs meeting room at CGAC.  Recorder/Scorer is basically the office manager but do not be intimidated.  Like all of these jobs, they are easier than they sound.  The clinic gives an introduction to the office and the clinic is relatively short.  Come out and learn about one of the jobs can be done in air conditioned comfort!   Sign-ups will be posted shortly.  I will be hosting more clinics next week.  Watch for sign-ups for those as well.

Western Region Clinic Day – Western Region will be hosting a clinic day at Conestoga College in Cambridge on Sunday, February 12.  Put the date on your calendar and come out for a clinic presented by someone other than me!  It is important to get different perspectives.  Morning refreshments and lunch provided. Choose a clinic in the morning and again in the afternoon.  No charge.  More details to come.
