Great job and thank you to our 40 swimmers who have registered for SWIM-A-THON and are hard at work raising funds to help further theirs and their teammates efforts in the pool. It's hard to believe there is just a little over 13 weeks left in the swimming year for most of you. The 8 weeks in April and May is the time to get some great training done if you want to have great results at the championship meets in June and July (Regionals, Provincials, Nationals). Remember, the PAIN you feel today is the STRENGTH you feel tomorrow! Good luck to everyone racing at our Pentathlon this Sunday - many of you are scheduled to swim 5 events (the Penta in Pentathlon), so this meet is a great opportunity to work on your consistency, remember that you can only swim one race at a time, and see how strong you can finish. Good luck also to LAC'ers at World Championship Trials in Victoria Maggie MacNeil and Paulina Bond.

CONGRAULATIONS to Coach Cassie on the delivery of her first child Clayton into the world on Friday, March 31!

The April statements were sent out on Wed April 5, please let Donna ( know if you have any concerns by Thursday April 13. PAD payments will be processed on Mon April 17

LAC Pentathlon April 9 - Thanks to everyone for signing up and volunteering. If you haven't signed up, please see if you are required, do so, and keep checking because occasionally people remove their names. If you really want to help out but the slots are full, check with Mike Joudrey when dropping off your swimmer for warm-up. Sometimes he gets very late notice that people cannot come. And please remember that you need the Strokes&Turns clinic completed to sign up for that position.

LAC Hollandia Invitational May 12-14 - If you're interested in working senior official positions (other than Timer or Strokes&Turns) please cntact the Competition Co-ordinator Greg Lewis ( to reserve your spot. Provide Greg with the position(s) you'd like to try, the session(s) you can attend, and if you would like a mentor.

Clinics - There will be a final round of clinics between the Pentathlon and Hollandia. Watch for notice and sign-ups. They will be on Friday nights and weekends due to my work schedule. If you want a specific clinic and cannot make Friday night or a specific time on Sat or Sun, please let me know and I will try to accommodate you.

If you have any officiating questions please contact me, Mark Lukings L.A.C. Co-Club Officials Chair at
