July 10

We are on the 2nd summer schedule July 1-14 which is posted on the LAC website under the “Schedules” tab.

Warm Up Change: Session 1 Friday (12 & under) the warm up is now 1:00 pm with a 1:45 pm start. All other Warm Up times remain the same.

Hard to believe we're here, but the end of the 2016-17 year is upon almost all of you! Many sincere congratulations to every swimmer in every group for putting in some great work and getting some great results. We as coaches are extremely fortunate to get to work with all of you as you chase your dreams in the pool. KEEP DREAMING BIG! The Hauch Meet this weekend will be the 30th competition of 2016-17 at which LAC swimmers have raced, and LAC swimmers have raced almost 9000 times through the course of the year so far! I would venture a guess that in almost every one of those 9000 races a LAC swimmer was giving their very very best effort from start to finish. Good luck to everyone finishing their year with the Hauch Meet this weekend. While the meet is largely a chance to have fun in the sun (hopefully), it is still an opportunity to race well and strive for personal best times. So, when you're not racing, have fun, keep yourself protected from the sun and well-hydrated, and when it's time to race, get into your "zone" and go for it!

July statements will be sent out after Paul Hauch Swim Meet on the 17th or 18th. These will include any meet fees from June and/or July. If you have any concerns with your statement please email Donna at by Sunday July 23. PAD’s will be withdrawn on the 25th.

The 2017-18 season will begin Monday September 18 (there will be some pre-season workouts for Senior Gold/Silver the week of September 11). New swimmer assessments will be September 12 and 14 at CHOCC.

Dr. Paul Hauch Invitational (July 14 to 16): WE NEED STROKES AND TURNS OFFICIALS!  I want to thank all of the people who have signed up for timing at Hauch.  We are nearly full!  Thank you also to the folks who have signed up for Strokes and Turns!  The problem is we need a lot more of you.  Some sessions should not be allowed to run as things sit right now.  We have pretty short sessions with only one planned to be over 3 hours and most sessions WELL under 3 hours, some under 2 hours.  This is not a huge commitment.  It would not take a lot of you to make all of the sessions healthy.  If you have taken the strokes and turns clinic, please take a look at the sign-ups and fill in your name where you can.  We are really getting into a low quality session with less than 8 Strokes and Turns officials.  That is not the LAC way!  We should have a minimum of 4 on each end.  Come on LAC officials, I know you can do it!

Meet Managers for the 2017-18 Season: I am still looking for meet managers for next season.  I have had a few offers and I am still waiting for this season’s meet managers to get back to me but we really need some new people to step up and learn this job.

If you have any officiating questions please contact me, Mark Lukings L.A.C. Co-Club Officials Chair at
