GOOD LUCK to our 36 swimmers racing in Halifax this weekend at the Nova Scotia Championships!

The City of London is updating its Parks and Recreation Master Plan and they are looking for our input.  Currently the Parks & Recreation Department is conducting a community survey that is open for anyone to fill out. This survey is available at .  Completing this survey is our opportunity to tell those shaping the future of London's aquatic facilities that it is critical for a Canada Games Aquatic Centre expansion to be priority one and that this expansion should include a separate warm-up pool, a deeper shallow end, and additional dryland, pool deck, office and storage space.

Our annual Hauch meet is fast approaching and in keeping with tradition we will be doing our famous bell heats. There are no food donations for this meet, we would like each family to donate $10 worth of prizes (broken up into smaller prize amounts if possible to spread the prizes out further.) Examples from previous years are $5 gift cards, towels, water bottles and a variety of fun toys for the kids to play with around the pool for the day.
When you have your prizes please bring them to your coach or Jane Callon.

Unworked session credits will be billed ($40 per session) after the Dr Paul Hauch Meet and July statements will be sent out after that. If you have any membership concerns, please contact Donna at

Senior Officials for Dr. Paul Hauch Invitational July 13 to 15:  I still need 2 senior officials for each session on Friday.  We have 312 officials registered with LAC.  Of these, 49 have taken the Clerk of Course clinic and 48 have taken the Chief Timekeeper clinic.  I would like to think that, out of all of those people a COC and a CT should step up for each of those 2 sessions.  If anyone would like to help with these positions then the way to sign up is to email me.  Include Hauch in the subject, and let me know the sessions that you are available and which of the jobs you can help with.

Minor Officials for Dr. Paul Hauch Invitational:  Sign-ups are posted and so far we are short in most sessions.  Please help make this meet a success.  Volunteer now!

Official Registrations:  When we register officials with SNC/Swim Ontario, an email is sent to the official and they must respond by signing on to their SNC account and confirming their information.  We have numerous officials who keep failing when we try to register them because the confirmation never happens.  If you are receiving emails from Swim Canada, please read them and follow the instructions to complete your registration.  If you have anti-spam software, could you please check in the spam folder to see if there are any emails from Swim Canada?

If you have any officiating questions please contact me, Mark Lukings L.A.C. Co-Club Officials Chair at

Club hosted meets help to reduce membership fees by 20-25% as well as reducing travel costs by attending fewer out-of-town meets. To ensure the Club has sufficient resources to host meets, most LAC swim families are required to work a minimum of 22 sessionsduring club hosted meets (please see below for exceptions). These sessions may be worked through officiating or working at the club’s food canteen, awards or other positions. Any unfulfilled session credits will be billed at a rate of $40.00 per session to the swim family’s Swimmer Account at the end of the season. Please note that this is not meant to be a “fundraiser” but rather an incentive to participate in the running of home meets. Swim families may receive up to 5 donated session credits from another club family to complete their credits, however any more than the 5 donated session credits must be approved by the board. Session commitments are waived for first year swim families with no prior competitive swim club affiliation, as well as for introductory and post-secondary students training full time with the club and for varsity swimmers, although assistance during swim meets from these groups is greatly appreciated.  First year families ARE required to fulfill the LAC orientation program. This includes participating in an Introductory to Swimming clinic during the swim season and a follow up “on-deck” mentoring session.

*** Families of Development swimmers who are not in their first year of competitive swimming who do not have a swimmer in another level are required to fulfill only 11 of the assigned session credits.***

There is a session credit FAQ under the "Parent Info" tab under "Session Credits.
