Head Coach & Director of Swimming: Peter Schori





Junior National & Dryland Coach: Ryan Thornley

​ Ryan is a University of Lethbridge graduate with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and  Psychology. He swam with the Pronghorns from 2009-2014 and served as team captain from  2011-2014. During his varsity career he was Pronghorn Athlete of the Year (2012), a five-time  CIS finalist, CanadaWest medalist, and multiple record holder. Ryan is also a three-time  Olympic Trials qualifier and continues to train with LASC.

 Ryan is an NCCP level 1 swim coach and has been coaching and teaching swimming since 2005.  He is also a NCCP Weightlifting coach and a CSEP Certified Personal Trainer working with the "High Performance Center" at the University of Lethbridge. Ryan takes care of the Strength and Conditioning for the National group, as well as the Pronghorns Swim team.


Senior Group Coach & OW Mentor Coach: Cole Midtdal

 Cole is currently a University of Lethbridge student in his final year, where he will receive a bachelor’s degree in a General Major Social Sciences and a Minor in Philosophy. He swam with the Pronghorns from 2013-2018, competing at various levels of varsity meets. Cole has been training as a swimmer for nearly all his life, where he has participated in countless regional, provincial, and national competitions throughout his career.

Cole is an NCCP Level 1 swim coach who started as a lifeguard and private instructor in 2011. He has been the Head Coach for two different summer swim clubs in B.C. and Alberta over three summers, where he coached numerous swimmers to medals and records on a provincial level. Cole joined the LASC staff in the spring of 2014.

Jr. Horns Coordinator: Mackenzie Hanna 

 Mackenzie graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2013 with a B.A. in    Psychology, and  is  currently working on a second degree in Education. Mackenzie came up through the  LASC program as an age group swimmer and qualified to compete  at the Western Canadian  Championships level. She competed as a varsity swimmer for  the Pronghorns from 2008-2013,  representing the team at the CanadaWest level in addition to serving as women's team captain  from 2012-2013. 

 Mackenzie is NCCP 1 certified and has coached with LASC since 2008, working with developmental swimmers in both  the I Can Swim and competitive programs. In addition to LASC, Mackenzie has coached with  the  Lethbridge summer swim club as well as University of Lethbridge swim camps.
