LSC Summer Programming Overview
Lakeshore Swim Club is pleased to offer two public swimming programs this summer:
- LSC Development Summer Camp
- LSC Competitive Summer Club
LSC Development Summer Camp is designed to provide young swimmers, either starting their competitive career or at the pre-competitive level, the option to learn accelerated swimming skills all summer long. These half-day camps will focus on improving technical swimming skills. The flexibility and dryland components will help build basic athletic ability, again with a focus on technique.
Who should register?
LSC swimmers in Fundamentals, Comp 3, and younger swimmers in Comp 2, or outside athletes from Toronto Splash (or equivalent) program. Swimmers should be between 8 and 12 years of age and able to swim 50m (two lengths in most community centre pools) on their own. 8-year old swimmers may be accepted if they are part of a competitive swim club.
Development Summer Camp runs Monday to Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All programming will take place at Sunnyside Outdoor Pool.

LSC Competitive Summer Club is designed for swimmers who are at least 12 years old and have 2-3 years of competitive swimming experience at the club level.
Who should register?
Competitive Summer Club is meant for swimmers at least 12 years old and have 2-3 years of competitive swimming experience at the club level, who want to work on their technical swimming skills while maintaining basic fitness over the summer months. For LSC swimmers, this includes older swimmers in Comp 2, and swimmers in Comp 1 and Senior programs. Swimmers will be divided up among lanes and coaches according to their age/level.
Competitive Summer club meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at High Park Outdoor Pool and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sunnyside Outdoor Pool.
