MOOSE JAW KINSMEN FLYING FINS
The Moose Jaw Kinsmen Flying Fins is a major sports team with over 50 years of swimming history in the city. Through the decades, the team has developed swimmers at all levels from Learn to Swim through to the Olympic Games and Team Canada members. Many of the youth that have gone through the team’s programs have become business owners, professionals and leaders of our community.
The mission of the team is to provide a holistic approach to youth of all ages teaching them lifelong skills along with swimming ability. Swimmers are treated as individuals and advance based on their specific level of ability and personal desire. Competitive and non-competitive swimmers, parents, coaches, volunteers and sponsors are all valuable members of our team.
Our Head Coach:
Our head coach, Gord Shields, brings a wealth of knowledge to the team having been involved in swimming for over 30 years, ten years as a swimmer and over twenty years coaching. As a swimmer he was a provincial record holder, senior national level qualifier and was a member of Team Saskatchewan for the first Canada Summer Games in Halifax in 1969.
As a coach, he has been the head coach in Moose Jaw, Prince Albert and Saskatoon. His coaching achievements include 5 National Age Group Champions, 2 World Games Special Olympics Gold medalists and numerous provincial record holders and team championships. He was an assistant coach with Team Canada for the 2003 World Special Olympics Games in Dublin, Ireland. Gord is also a certified facilitator and evaluator for coaching education in Canada and has been the lead coach for numerous training camps and coaching courses.
Why Support Our Moose Jaw Swim Club:
We value our sponsors and corporate partners and are dedicated to establishing mutually beneficial partnerships to further the goals of both organizations.
By choosing to support our club, you not only help us further the dreams of our young swimmers but you open the doors to developing new client relationships and strengthening current ones with our 90+ swimming families. Depending on your level of support, your organization will benefit from recognition through various marketing venues including acknowledgement and display of your brand on our website, newsletters, Facebook and twitter pages, advertising in our swim meet programs, home meet naming rights, branding on team shirts, etc.
We are also open to discuss customized marketing/sponsorship solutions to fit your needs.
As with any sport, the challenge of providing the best opportunities for our swimmers comes at a price. Our club has a strong support system of parents and coaches who work year round on ways to help lower the burden on our swimmer’s families. We depend heavily on fundraising efforts such as raffles, bottle drives, comedy night, swim meets, etc.
We currently are looking to collaborate with local businesses that have an interest in the youth in their community and would like to support our common goals. Your support will provide the much needed assistance our not-for-profit club needs to continue to be a strong contender in the sport of swimming. All sponsorship funds go directly to cover expenses such as pool time, lifeguard rates, coaching, uniforms, equipment and travel costs.
Levels of Sponsorship:
By supporting MJKFF, your company will secure on-going exposure throughout the Moose Jaw Region, Saskatchewan, and even throughout Canada. Here are the Level of Sponsorship available for your organization to consider:
If a direct financial contribution is not possible, could you donate a good or service that we could auction or raffle off at one of our fundraising events?
