Level III: TADPOLES (pre-competitive)

  • swimmers in this group have typically advanced through the Levels 1 and 2 programs
  • swimmers in this group should be able to swim a minimum of 2 length sof the pool unassisted and train in the main pool
  • 2 x 45 minute practices per week
  • skills taught in this group include body position, arms, leg action, proper breathing techniques and timing
  • more focus on teaching all four competitive swim strokes
  • swimmers are introduced to basic start and turn skills
  • minimum of 6 years of age
  • maximum of 10 swimmers per group
