This program is for swimmers born in or before 2007 (Synchro Age 12+) that are new to synchro or have limited synchro experience. This is a great program to do with friends!
Basic synchro skills are developed and practiced in Teen Synchro. Most of this program is run in deep water, so swimmers should be comfortable with unassisted swimming in the deep end.
Completion of Red Cross Swim Kids Level 5 (or equivalent) is highly recommended. Classes are two hours in length per week with 15-30 minutes of dryland each practice to focus on core strength, flexibility and land drills. Swimmers will spend the remainder of the practice in the water where they will review the skills learned in previous synchro classes and build upon those skills and figures to create more complex routines, including simple highlights.
LTAD (Long term athlete development) focuses in this program are:
Learn to Train – fun, physical literacy, synchro skill development, and competition experience.
Schedules will be subject to exception dates due to pool closures, special events and holidays. In order to accommodate these, practice times and locations may be rescheduled or canceled. These dates will be shared as soon as they become available.
New athletes to GO Capital Synchro and Team Unify will be asked to create an account and log-in before starting the registration.
