Swim Groups

*All our groups are focused on athletes of all ages having fun, and developing fundamental movement skills and fitness through a variety of sports & activities.

Swimbits (once per week)

Introduction to competitive swimming for swimmers who can swim two lengths (2 x 25m) continuously without stopping (Swim Kids Level 4/5). 45-minute pool session. Swimmers take part in sports and activities outside of swimming.

Wavemakers (two practices per week)

Introduction to the four competitive strokes - butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle - with a focus on technique. Two 45-minute pool sessions. Swimmers take part in sports and activities outside of swimming.

Breakers (3 x per week)

Focusing on technique, including starts and turns, and attending swim meets. Increased training with three one-hour pool sessions each week. Swimmers take part in sports and/or activities outside of swimming.

Bronze (4 x per week)

Attending swim meets, able to complete a 100m Individual Medley. Swimmers take part in sports and/or activities outside of swimming.

Bronze Plus (5 x per week)

Attending swim meets, able to complete a 200 Individual Medley. Swimmers take part in one or more sports and/or activities outside of swimming.

Silver (6 x per week)

11 years or older. Attending swim meets, able to complete a 400 Individual Medley. Swimmers do either the weekly dryland program or some other cross-training outside the pool.

Gold (7 x per week)

13 years or older. Must have 85% attendance, and be committed to supporting an environment of positivity and sportsmanship. Swimmers do either the weekly dryland program or some other cross-training outside the pool.

Platinum (8 x per week)

13 years or older. Highest level group for swimmers training for provincial and national level meets. Swimmers do either the weekly dryland program or some other cross-training outside the pool.
