Groups and Schedules
 

ROC Swimming offers youth programming in three broad groups, as well as programming for youth and mature adults in our Triathlon/Multi-Sport groups. 



The Swim Academy is now composed of three levels, and is targeted at primary school swimmers. All of these swimmers will register as competitive:


Swim Academy Black (formerly Intro to Academy Red): is our entry point into the ROC Swimming program. For children ages 6-8 (as of Dec. 31, 2018) who can swim at least one or two laps of the pool and are interested in competitive swimming. This group attends 3-4 fun meets and 3-4 sanctioned competitions during the season.

Swim Academy Red (remains unchanged): For children ages 7-10 (as of Dec. 31, 2018). Further development of competitive skills in a fun and challenging environment.

Swim Academy White (remains unchanged): For children ages 9-11 (as of Dec. 31, 2018). Swimmers work towards qualifying at a regional or provincials through further improvement of skills and technique.
 

The Junior Program, is targeted at middle and early high-school swimmers:

Junior Black (formerly Competitive Development): is our group for swimmers ages 12-14 (as of Dec. 31, 2018) who are still mastering their competitive swimming skills, and working towards qualification at a regional level.     

Junior Red (formerly Junior Performance 1): is our group for swimmers ages 11-12 (as of Dec. 31, 2018) who are at or near regional qualification standards and looking towards provincial level qualification.

Junior White (formerly Junior Performance 2): is our group for swimmers ages 12-14 (as of Dec. 31, 2018) who are looking qualify at provincial and national levels.
 

The Senior Program is for high-school swimmers aged 15-18 (as of Dec. 31, 2018):

Senior Red (formerly Senior Performance 1): is our group for swimmers who are at regional qualification and looking towards provincial or national level qualification.
Senior White (formerly Senior Performance 2): is our group for swimmers who are looking qualify at national levels.
