Swim Skills

Swim Skills

The Swim Skills program is an introduction to competitive swimming. The program is geared towards five (5) to seven (7) year olds.  Swimmers must be “deep-water safe” to enrol in the program.  This means that they must be able to swim, at least, ten (10) metres on their own.

The focus of this program is to develop strong and confident young swimmers. We concentrate on the fundamentals of basic stroke techniques and prepare swimmers to learn more advanced swimming skills when they are ready. The program consists of twenty (20) sessions where swimmers will be taught how to swim freestyle ("front crawl"), backstroke, and breaststroke. They will also be introduced to the early fundamentals of butterfly, flip turns, starts, and advanced drills. These skills are key to becoming life-long strong swimmers, and also for advancing into our competitive programming.

Our professional coaches are patient and knowledgeable. They know what the result needs to be and have a clear direction when teaching swimming skills. Our goal is to teach advanced swimming in a simple way; making it fun AND productive.
