Who can join?
Anyone who is between the ages of 6 and 18 years of age, and can swim at least one length of a pool. This ability is approximately equivalent to AquaQuest Level Five (5).
What does SLSC do?
We are focused on the long-term development of each swimmer. Depending on the age and skill level of the swimmer, they are taught the skills of competitive swimming. These skills range from basic kicking and body position drills all the way to physiological training for nationally ranked athletes.
When can I join?
The swim season generally begins and ends with the school season (second week in September to the middle of June), but you can join at any time!
Why should I join?
Why shouldn't you? Swimming produces great overall physical fitness and, unlike many other sports, is low-impact. Also, swimmers travel to many out-of-town swim meets. Most importantly... swimming is FUN!
