Currently, I am in Grade 12 at Memorial Composite High School. I grew up on the pool deck watching my brother swim for 5 years. I started swimming competitively when I was 6 years old with the Stony Plain Sharks and started playing water polo at age 7 with the Polo Bears. I have been coaching water polo with the Spruce Grove Polo Bears for 3 years, and the Edmonton Water Polo club for 1 year. I am working towards certification to be a Competitive Water Polo Coach.
I currently play water polo with the Edmonton Tsunami in the Canadian National League. Other teams I have played water polo with are the Edmonton Capitals, T-Birds, Medicine Hat and T-Hills (Portland, Oregon) and Pierce County (Seattle). I have been to the Canadian Nationals and numerous U.S. tournaments with the Capitals.
I have spent 2 great summers playing water polo (2014 and 2013) in the U.S. Junior Olympics. I had the opportunity to play with Pierce County from Seattle and the T-Hills team in Portland Oregon! These Junior Olympic Tournaments were in San Jose and Los Angeles in the U16 age category. What a great way to spend the summers!
Since I was 6 years old summer swimming, has made the summer exciting! It is fun to get together with friends and have fun working and racing!! The swim meets on the weekends are a fun, competitive environment! I have swam in the provincial competitions every year and even medalled in a few events. I really enjoy my time coaching the younger athletes and I am looking forward to this year's swim season.
