The Swim-A-Thon is an annual fundraising campaign hosted by Swimming Canada and Raise-a-thon. It is an excellent fundraising option, and it’s our biggest fundraiser of the year. The Swim-A-Thon is an in-pool fundraiser where swimmers earn pledges to swim a set number of lengths or participate in a fun and challenging swimming event.

Fundraising Goal: $8000

There will be prizes awarded at our AGM for every swimmer who raises over $50. The more you raise, the better your prize! The group that raises the most will not only earn having their coach swim the Swim-A-Thon with them, but will also earn an ice cream cake at our end of session Pizza Party on Friday, March 12!

Swim-A-Thon Dates and Times per Group:

*Every swimmer will need to bring someone to count their laps!*

Juniors and Senior 1's will be swimming on Saturday, March 7, starting at 8am.

Super Novice swimmers will do their swims Tuesday, March 10 at their regular practice time (we can shift swimmers between the 4pm and 5pm groups to better accommodate their lap-counters’ schedules if needed – please contact Coach Amanda before the swim-a-thon)

Senior 2's and 3's will swim on Wednesday, March 11 at 4pm.

Make-Up Day for any swimmers who missed their scheduled session is Wednesday March 11 at 4pm.

Sign-Up Information:

Please go to our club link at www.bcswimathon.ca/wlbf  and register your swimmer and start spreading the word to family, friends, business colleagues, social contacts and those that support the sport of swimming in our community, province and Canada. We encourage the parents to go online and assist your swimmer with the registration.  The family affidavit is part of the online swimmer registration. This year Swimming Canada is unable to issue any receipts in any circumstance.  You may find out more information here: https://swimming.ca/en/resources/swimming-canada-overview/swim-a-thon-online/

The site for donations will be closed on Friday, March 13. Please make sure you get all of your donations in before the closing date.

Please show your support, help us provide the best resources, coaching and programs that we can by helping to raise these valuable dollars that will support our swimming program.

If you have any questions please contact Chad or Amanda.

Good Luck Blue Fins, and happy fundraising!
