Since it was founded in 1992, the Vancouver Pacific Swim Club (VPSC) has been the top age-group swim program in Vancouver, and one of the best across the province. Since its inception, VPSC has provided numerous swimmers the opportunity to achieve excellence at the local level, as well as the National and International level of competitive swimming. It is the mission of VPSC to provide the opportunity to pursue excellence in competitive swimming.
VPSC continues to run our swim programs for athletes from age 6 to 18 years (and beyond). We primarily use three aquatic facilities around the west side of Vancouver: the New UBC Aquatic Centre, St. George’s Senior School and the Lord Byng Fitness Centre. We work in cooperation with the UBC Thunderbirds Varsity program and UBC Dolphins senior program to develop athletes to the highest level.
Our programs follow a long term athlete development model to help develop a well rounded young athlete, to teach the competitive swimming skills and strokes and to instill in the swimmer a value system towards the sport of swimming.
At the top end of the program the focus is towards developing the athlete towards high performance swimming and towards post-secondary swimming.
