The Olympic Development Program serves to identify and develop athletes to represent USA Water Polo throughout national and international competition.
In November and December of 2016, the selection process for ODP began across the country. Most zones were allowed to select 14 athletes (two goalies, 12 field players) to attend the nationals. Fourteen players were selected to the zone team.
After two eight-hour tryouts, the cuts were made. Training has been ongoing and will culminate with the nationals. From the nationals, officials will select athletes for National Training and Selection Camp for each age group. Players will participate in national team training and competition that will run from April through August.
These teams will compete in the national championship.
Good luck- we are proud of you!
