Dues and Fees Statement

The Merced Skimmers is a non-profit organization that is self-supporting. The coaches and facility expenses are paid by proceeds from member dues and fund raising activities. The operation of the team relies on a cooperative responsibility shared by the swimmer(s), parent(s), and the coaches. By joining Skimmers, it is important to understand that you are committing both money and time (i.e. fundraising, meet responsibilities, etc.).

Practice Drop-Off/Pick-Up

Parents are responsible for making a conscientious effort to get their children to practice regularly and on time and pick them up on time as not to create a supervision problem.

PARKING

Merced College requires a parking pass.  The regular price for a semester pass is $20.  A daily pass is $1 per day.  Having a pass is advisable. While it does not guarantee a parking spot, it beats a ticket. Parking passes can be obtained in Student Services in the Lesher Building (the round building).

Meets

If you choose, swimmers can participate in an average of 1-2 meets per month.  Parents are responsible for taking their swimmers to these meets and for helping out as needed. Team caps must be worn at swim meets.

We look forward to having you join the Merced Skimmers Swim Team and are excited for another great year.
