Rocklin Swim Team (RST) is a non-profit organization that provides aquatics programs to serve the City of Rocklin and surrounding areas. The organization is run by its elected Board of Directors. All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities and fundraising events. We encourage members to take an active role in committees and fundraisers that support the organization.
We offer a full spectrum of aquatics programs at the two high school swimming pools in Rocklin, CA. Our mailing address is 2351 Sunset Blvd Ste 170-184, Rocklin, CA 95675 and our landing page online is rocklinswimteam.org.
Swim School - Lessons
In 2012, RST was asked to take over management of the City of Rocklin's Park and Recreational aquatics program. We offer a range of classes from group lessons, private or semi-private for swimmers of all ages. These are offered in late Spring and summer months. We also offer for ages 15.5+ a lifeguarding class. Registration and more information will be available in March.
Splash - Pre-Competitive Swim Team
Splash is a pre-competitive swim team with no tryouts. Swimmers must be able to swim 50 yards unassisted. The swimmers can learn or enhance beyond what is taught in traditional swim lessons with age group swim practices. This is intended to be the evolution after lessons if a competitive swim team is not a consideration. Splash will run during the summer months (June and July) and swimmers can participate in a season-ending “mock” swim meet.
WAVE - Summer Recreational Swim Team
WAVE is our competitive swim team that is part of the Northern California Swim League (NCSL). Starting in 2016, we will swim in the Gold Rush conference, the second fastest conference in the league. Each year we have tryouts for the team in March. To better prepare your child for try outs we do offer swim clinics in March for swimmers who are able to swim 50 yards unassisted. More information on registration and team try out date will be made available on our website and Facebook during the month of February.
Our recreational swim team season begins in April and runs through the end of July with weekday practices Monday through Friday. During the Rocklin Unified School District school year, swim practice is April through early June. Once school is out, practice times move to morning sessions; exact times for each age group will be published on the website at the beginning of our season.
Our practices are held at the Whitney High School pool and our home meets take place at the 8-lane Rocklin High School pool. The address for our home meets (Rocklin High School) is 5301 Victory Lane Rocklin, CA 95765.
WAVE cannot function without full parent participation that is critical for a successful aquatics program. Besides our parent volunteers that run the Board of Directors and act as Committee Chairs, every WAVE family supports the team during all meets, championships and social events.
Fall and Winter Teams – Seasonal USA Swim Sessions
Fall and Winter Teams are for swimmers who can swim 50 yards unassisted and allows them to stay in the water September through January. Details will be posted in August for Fall Team (session Sep-Oct) and October for Winter Team (session Nov-Jan). These are flexible practices and swimmers are encouraged to participate in USA Swim sanctioned swim meets with our Rocklin Mavericks USA team.
Mavericks - Year Round USA Team
