Can I register in person or over the phone?

No. You must create a registration account online in order to enroll in any class or camp. Our office staff cannot create an account for you over the phone or in person, as you are required to read and agree to our policies and procedures online. Once you have created an account, you may complete the entire enrollment and payment process online, or our office staff can help you enroll.

Why is it showing a different price when I enroll online?

If you enroll for a class online, your class begins immediately and your first month will be prorated. If you have already missed any lessons in the current calendar month, the prorated price will be reflected when you search for classes online. The full tuition price will be charged once your enrollment automatically renews on the first fo the month.

How long are your sessions? When does the next session begin?

We are a year-round, perpetual swim program, which means that there are no sessions during the year. Once you enroll in a class, you begin immediately and are automatically renewed every month. You will not have an end date unless you submit the cancellation form via email by the 15th of the month.  We have open enrollment and you may start classes at any time.

Can I schedule an assessment to find out my student's level?

No. We do not perform assessments outside of our lessons. You should choose your student's level based on our LEVEL DESCRIPTIONS and enroll in that class. On the first day of class, the deck supervisor will assess your student and assign them a level. The instructor will teach all students according to their assigned level, regardless of the title of the class. In some cases, the deck supervisor may move the student to a new instructor if there is a high variance in levels in your class. If you have any questions about your student's level, please ask the deck supervisor.

Can I sign up for only one trial class?

No. We do not offer any trial classes. In order to accurately gauge if our program is a good fit, we feel that students need to experience more than one lesson. Our classes take place on a monthly basis, so students must commit to a minimum of one month.  We do not offer mid-month cancellations or any refunds for classes that you do not attend. We recommend that all prospective students come check out our facility and observe a lesson before committing to a class. There is no appointment required to come observe a lesson, please stop by at any of our scheduled class or camp times.

How does the waiting list work?

If a class is currently full, you have the option of adding your student to a waiting list for that specific class. You are not committing to anything by adding to the waiting list. There is no obligation to enroll in the class you are waiting for and you will not be charged anything. Once there is an open spot, we will call your primary phone number on your account to let you know. You will have 24 hours to confirm with our office that you would like to enroll. If we do not hear from you within 24 hours, we will remove your student from the waiting list and call the next person. We do not automatically enroll any students who are on the waiting list and we do not charge any tuition unless you confirm with our office that you would like to enroll. As our classes automatically renew every month, there is no way to know how long it will take for your spot to become available. If you have not received a call, that means that there is no space available. You can confirm which waiting lists you are on at any time by logging into your account and clicking on enrollments. The enrollment will show WAIT instead of ACTIVE.

I enrolled online. When do I start?

If you enrolled in a class and completed your tuition payment, you will begin immediately. You may attend starting the very next class. If you enrolled in a camp, the dates of the class are listed in the details of the camp. Once enrollment is completed and confirmed, you will receive an email receipt.

I'm not available to start immediately, can I enroll for a class in advance?

All enrollments online start immediately. If you would like to begin attending classes on a later date, our office staff can postpone your start date for up to one week. We cannot reserve spots for more than one week in advance without tuition payment.

Can I change my schedule?

Yes. You can change your schedule at any time as long as there is a space available. If you are enrolled in a class, you may transfer to a new class day or time by logging into your account, clicking on your enrollments, and then clicking the transfer button. Your account will be credited or charged for any tuition differences that occur. If you are enrolled in a camp, you may change your schedule by calling the swim school office at 408-246-5003. Camps cannot be transferred online. Please note that we do not offer refunds even in the case of a transfer. Any tuition differences will be in the form of a swim school credit. Credits are only given for transfers. There are no credits for cancellations.

What are my payment options?

For our year-round classes, you are required to have a credit or debit card posted to your account in order to enroll. Our classes automatically renew and automatically charge your posted card on the 1st of every month.  If you would like to pay with cash or check, you must make your tuition payment in the swim school office prior to the 1st of the month. You are still required to post a credit or debit card to your account even if you pay with cash or check every month for security in case of non-payment. If the payment has already been made prior to the 1st of the month with cash or check, then your card will not be charged on the 1st.

For our camps, the total tuition is due at the time of enrollment. We accept credit, debit, cash, or check. You will not be automatically renewed or charged for any subsequent camp sessions. All camps are one time only sessions.

For credit, we accept VISA and MASTERCARD only. Checks should be made out to Santa Clara Swim Club.

Can I request a specific teacher?
It is not possible to request a specific teacher. All of our teachers are trained equally in the classroom and in class hands-on. They then bring their own unique personalities together with their training from the Swim School to create a diverse and wonderful teaching ground for your child.

If I am a returning student will I have priority enrollment?
We do not have priority enrollment for returning former students. If you cancel a class, you will lose your spot in class. If your desired class is no longer available, you may put your name on the waiting list. You may be on as many waiting lists as you like, even if you are currently enrolled in another class. We are constantly working on our waiting list and moving children through the program.

If I am on a waiting list will it carry over from month to month or do I need to put myself on the waiting list monthly?
You will remain on the waiting list until the space becomes available.
